Graphic design does not have to come with a huge ego.
Many designers are artists who focus on their own needs and not the client's. bekkerschmidt is a creative business, not an artist's studio - we will not push design on you, but will offer creative concepts and solutions. As professionals, we will make our recommendations, but not at gun point (though we know people in Detroit who can do that...if you need extra incentive when making decisions).

The name
bekkerschmidt was formed in 2001 by graphic designers with German heritage. Becker and Smith were slightly altered and, like so many Germanic words, pushed together to form a new name.

Tedd Smith, owner/creative conspirator
Tedd has a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication, which focuses on marrying commercial art with business rather than producing art for art's sake. He is most passionate about developing identities for companies and organizations so they may put their best foot forward for success. When not syncing up with others in the creative community, he enjoys espresso, wining and dining his wife, battling zombie hordes, and is currently trying to avoid Facebook and Twitter like the plague...
